On the Importance of Quality Inspection in Trade!

Quality inspection refers to the measurement of one or more quality attributes of the product using means or methods, then the comparison of the measurement results with the specified product quality standards, and finally the judgment on whether the product is qualified or unqualified.

The specific work of quality inspection includes measurement, comparison, judgment and treatment.

Quality inspection is an indispensable part of quality management. An enterprise must meet the following three conditions before carrying out the quality inspection:

(1) Sufficient qualified inspectors;

(2) Reliable and perfect inspection means;

(1) Explicit and clear inspection standards.

Inspection is the key for delivering good product quality.

The enterprise guarantees that unqualified raw materials will not be put into production through carrying out quality inspection of various links and processes in the production process, unqualified semi-finished products will not be released for the next process and that unqualified products will not be delivered. The product inspection system will timely report the quality inspection information to the enterprise and send relevant feedback to provide basis for the enterprise to study and solve product quality problems, thus constantly improving and enhancing product quality and improving the enterprise’s economic and social benefits.

Product quality management is the basic means.

Product quality is comprehensive manifestation of a production enterprise’s technology and management level. Modern enterprises attach great importance to and strengthen quality management. Only by making the following changes can an enterprise better improve the product quality: continuously improving the staff’s quality awareness and making efforts to change their traditional mindset, namely emphasizing output while neglecting quality; emphasizing production while neglecting inspection; emphasizing classification of finished products while neglecting inspection of raw materials and semi-finished products during production; emphasizing scientific research and product development while neglecting inspection and quality; emphasizing apparent effect while neglecting physicochemical properties; regarding that inspection is related to established outcomes. Product quality is the foundation for improving economic benefits. Good product quality is not equivalent to desirable sales; but an enterprise definitely cannot survive poor product quality. All competitive factors must be firmly attached to the product, for only the product is the foundation of the enterprise marketing.

As is well-known, in the context of global economic integration and increasingly fierce market competition, an enterprise must gain high profits for survival and development. In order to gain high profits and better economic benefits, the enterprise’s management department usually adopts different methods, such as marketing expansion, increase in sales and cost reduction through reasonably arranging production activities. These methods are necessary and effective. However, a better and more important method is generally overlooked, namely improving an enterprise’s economic benefits through improving the quality of products and services, so as to ensure that the enterprise will develop in a sustainable, sound and rapid manner.
